Meet Fredrik Eklund: Skin Biz to Real Estate Star

If you caught yesterday’s edition of the New York Times, I hope you didn’t cruise past the profile of Fredrik Eklund in the “Fashion & Style” section. The sleek, handsome Mr. Eklund is known to GayPornLand as former pornster Tag Eriksson. He’s now one of the top real estate agents in the Big Apple with a proposed reality series on tap with the Bravo network. Full credit to the guy; he’s got to be a shark—with a brilliant publicist—to land such a glowing profile. So are you ready to feel spectacularly unsuccessful this Monday morning? “His success in the United States has made Mr. Eklund, a member of a prominent Swedish family, with ties to prime ministers, the royal family, even the legendary director Ingmar Bergman, somewhat of a minor celebrity back in his native Stockholm, and the subject of glowing profiles in the Swedish press.” He moved to the U.S. in 2002 “with zero clients and no real estate training” and generated an estimated $50 million in business in his first year, published an autobiographical novel in 2005 that “created a stir that propelled him into the Swedish tabloids” and “(d)uring his first year at the Stockholm School of Economics, he started a tech company.” Then there’s the brief, acclaimed porn career which is covered in his NYT profile. I can no longer find a single clip of Tag Eriksson anywhere in the net anymore. There used to be one, with Alec Powers. but it’s gone now. Mr. Erikson was one hot stud
