Four-Time Cybersocket Loser

Dept. of Self-Promotion: Well, kidz. As you can glean from the previous post, your humble correspondent lost Best Porn Blog at the Cybersocket Web Awards for the fourth consexutive—typo, but I’m keeping it. Still thinking about sex-tastic hotbod Peter Le—year. We lost out to JasonCurious.com; we lost to QueerClick the previous two years, and lost to The Sword four years ago. Wet, sloppy kisses to our Constant Readers for clicking away through two rounds of voting. Bless you and everyone who looks like you. And we do have that Best Gay Porn Blog of the Year gong from the inaugural JRL Gay Film Awards last September, even though no trophy has ever appeared. Onward and upward, etc.

Maybe you both should stop promoting Next Doors crap then….except we know QMN loves that GAY4PAY crap they push over on their sites.
They couldn’t give it to QC this year because to many people pointed out how biased QC was to Buddy Profits and Epoch sites. So they chose a site that is rarely actually updated but belongs to a popular* personality. He likely won the award so he would attend, write about it, and it would make his patron Drag Queen happy. A big part of those awards were about buy off Chi Chi who doesn’t care for Next Door but uses their “exclusives”.
*Doesn’t necessarily denote well liked.

@Neil — Yeah, we wrote about Peter Le back in July. He had filmed a pilot for a show called “K-Town” that was supposed to be ” ‘Jersey Shore’ with Asians” but I guess it wasn’t picked up. He’s a hot piece, in any case.

You “lost” to a hollow, preening, self-serving prick with ego-identity issues and a purported drug problem. (Although to be perfectly honest, I think his fashion sense is 100 times more serious of a problem.)
And who says you lost anyway? We’re taking it on faith that the votes were counted honestly and fairly.
And you got nominated. 3000 gay porn blogs and I wasn’t even on the list! lol
BTW, I spoke with Peter for a good 20 minutes last night and told me that the pilot was picked up by a cable network – obviously he couldn’t say which one – for their Asian markets which can only mean one thing.

[...] Porn Awards: Well, the 12th annual Cybersocket Web Awards were handed out last night at The Factory nightclub in West Hollywood. And for the fifth consecutive year, GPTimes lost the Surfer’s Choice: Best Porn Blog category. This year, it went to Queer Me Now; previous winners were Jason Curious in 2011, QueerClick (twice, in 2010 and ’09) and Gay Porn Blog in ’08, the first year GPTimes was up for the citation. For the sake of completion, Gay Porn Blog also took the gong from 2005-07. The first category winner in 2004 was the now-defunct The Corky. We’ve been around 100 years, but GPTimes existed as a column–remember magazines?–for most of its first decade or so. A full list of this year’s Cybersocket winners hasn’t been revealed at post time, so look for that later. But congrats to Brent Everett, the deserving winner of Best Porn Star.
