Coverage of O’Neal Teaching Suspension Keeps Rolling

Performer-mogul Collin O’Neal has been dealing with an avalanche of publicity from the blogosphere and mainstream media outlets worldwide rushing to tut-tut over the news that a porn actor and director had been suspended from his job as a substitute teacher by Miami-Dade County Public Schools. As I wrote yesterday (scroll down or click the link below), the news was posted to Gawker as well as the front page of AOL‘s news browser, which exposed the story to millions. Chalk up more stories, most of which rehash what has already been reported, by Chicago Pride and Huffington Post and On Top and South Florida Gay News and Wizbang Pop and Project Q Atlanta, among many, many others. There is also an ongoing war of words with my colleagues over at The Sword. Mr. O’Neal is PO’ed at the tone of their coverage, among other reasons. In a recent comment, O’Neal says he passed a background check and listed his erotic work on his resume when he applied for the teaching position.

Have you noticed JP how insane everyone gets in August? It never fails and not just pornstars,celebs,politicians this is the crazy time the dog days of summer. I think all the heat,humidity and tanning does a number on the brain.
I think my Facebook is going off until post Labor Day. The children are playing they can have it.

Its hard to keep track of who said what anymore tho I wish instead of responding to bloggers that Colin would have either gone to the teachers union and or seen a lawyer about any options. And not commented further.. Other ways really don’t help the situation out any.
Right T-Bird Colin is not doing himself any good wallowing in the tabloid gutter.
@DeWayne — People do seem to go crazy in August, don’t they? Go figure.
As for Collin, I have never known him to back down from an opportunity to get into a scrap with someone he doesn’t like.
