Steve Cruz Issues Challenge to Porn Detractors

Performer-director Steve Cruz took note of some comments-section criticism to my recent blog entry about his new sexpic RUGBURN! (see the link below). He’s fed up with the complaint that his blue movies for Raging Stallion Studios and Falcon Studios don’t feature genuine sparks between the men as they do the suck-and-fuck dance. “My fans know where ever possible I try to ignite a real connection; that’s my whole shtick!” he says. “This movie isn’t about romance, true; still there’s that kind of tongue-kissing in all my movies, unless someone we cast thinks he’s straight and won’t kiss—and when that happens I rarely recast because kissing is a huge turn-on for me and yes I’m disappointed when they won’t. Just want to set the record um, straight.” Mr. Cruz then issued a challenge to his detractors. “I’m willing to consider what turns you on,” he says. “The best ideas sometimes come from fans, so slow down the fast-forward button and give me a shout. Haters I’ll ignore of course, but actual feedback from consumers or anyone who’s actually buying porn these days rather than ripping it off—we all have a thing to learn from you guys. Ultimately I want to make the hottest movies we can! Also keep in mind I am pretty busy so if you don’t get a direct reply realize I keep a full workload. 1.kissing is hardly ever to be seen in raging stallion movies, the visitor is an exception, i know coz i used to BUY raging stalllion movies, most of the time the kissing doesn’t vene last for a minute
2. french kissing doesn’t have to be sweet or romantic, it’s just plan hot and there’s the rub, mr cruz think kissing is romantic solely, oh dear

Here’s a tip. Don’t be inluenced by anonymous and random comments on blogs. Most of these people have some sort of agenda, bias, or strange outlook on porn or life. Stick to your vision, and the consumers who share it will find you. Personally, since you brought up the str8 thing (and everyone seems to these days), I prefer a mix of gay and straightish guys in porn. I think it adds to the flavor, but that’s just my biased opinion.
I started the thread so I will continue it.
1. guess all comments on this blog at least aren’t that anonymous at all as you have to file ur email
2. I used to buy raging stallion a lot until they went for the unrelentness “hard stick it in and fuck thing” spiced with some ridiculous violence going from faked rape, boxing shit etc. Possibly they have a public for that yet I’m not one of them
3. Since Cruz arrived the styling went out of hand and full beards, ridiculous hairstyles, awful leather trousers etc are the dish of the day. They may have a public for that, I’m not one of them
4. I still rent them if only for hot assed Angelo Marconi but i can assure Cruz that in his movies kissing is as rare as a volcano outburst of the Vesuvius nowadays, and he knows it. I can mention all of his directed movies where not one tongue kiss is involved. and I mean REAL kiss,I don’t buy the three second lip to lip stuff the straight guys are willing to do. So I’m surprised to read a real tongue kiss is a huge turn on for Cruz as he quasi never applies them in his movies. God even Marconi (the best kisser they have) was totally ignored by horrible Freitas in their scene. and yes, i can mention several others mr Cruz coz i still watch RS, yet rent only.
I don’t mind a rough fuck yet if hot kissing is not involved I for one am not turned on.
I did buy the visitor (surprsingly not directed by cruz) coz there was some hot kissing going on. I did NOT buy steamworks (directed by Mr Cruz) coz hot kissing was not to be seen in spite of some excellent french kissers such as Topher di maggio and Marconi.
I did buy ‘menace’ (not directed by mr cruz) coz tere was lots of hot kissing there provived by the ever reliable marconi or the equally hot and underestimated hot star pistol pete. and so i could go on and on
3. I have no problem with mr cruz only his directing of sex is not my cup of tea i.e. sex without some pretty hot kissing is not gay sex for me and no kissing is not ‘sissy’ but that’s what RS sadly nuff so often now want to tell us
4. In general I’m a fervent contra gay4pay ‘nut’ but i’m not an exclusive nazi, see marcus mojo good kisser and therefore a hot pornstar in my porn book.
Turn to rockettube or xvideos, the ones with teh hottest kissing are the most popular.
as mr Cruez himself outs himself now as a kiss fan, I’m not alone. Up to him now to show it in his movies.
The proof in the pudding is in the eating as they say. So I just watched the trailer -okay it’s only a trailer -of rugburn. Conclusion : not one hot kiss was to be seen! Lots of artificial screaming and look-alike beards.

I hear ya! You can’t please everyone its true! You are so right, my customer will find me. Meanwhile in my 3rd year I consider myself a young director and I should also be open to suggestion. Can’t hurt to listen.

The younger guys I work with seem less affected by terms like ‘gay’ and ‘straight’. One performer called himself ‘flexible’. If a flexible guy can kiss and connect and stay hard like the guy that calls himself queer… that’s what its all about.

I still don’t feel like you really know me, but perhaps that’s my failing for playing a character so well on screen that you feel my thing is beards and leather pants. Rather than defend my work instead I’ll pay even extra attention moving forward to how kissing plays a role in my movies.

One word: Aybars. Another word: Cazzo. What do these have in common? Unless I’ve missed something, Raging Stallion had the US rights to Cazzo for a couple of years and now there is no trace of it on their website. Compare Aybars’ scenes in all those Raging Stallion videos and then take a look at the latest Cazzo video ‘Hard at Work’: One scene of him topping a ravishing blond and another of him being seduced and topped by a porn veteran. As far as I’m concerned, if you can’t learn from that, US gay porn deserves to die on the vine.
aiv been follwng this discussion with some interest. Now aybars, for me exhumes the worst of RS. Cazzo exhumes the best of european porn together with citebeur. Though sometimes they have their flaws too. Staghomme could have it too but they’re obsessed with latino straights (pathetic) but they do have some hot models (gay i hope) such as that Maleek guy. In general michael lucas provides good french tongue gymnastics.
