* Performer-mogul Michael Lucas continues to tub-thump for Undressing Israel: Gay Men in the Promised Land, his self-financed, non-explicit documentary feature. This week it’s an interview with Gay.com. “I’ve always had strong opinions. I suffered for that when I was growing up in the Soviet Union because there was no freedom of speech, so once I moved to the West it became impossible to shut me up,” he recalls. “It took me a while to make a big enough name for myself that people would let me write about anything other than porn. That started happening about 10 years ago, and I’ve enjoyed writing about different social and political issues. I’m an independent thinker and always have been. * Jason Gibson, founder and CEO of Corbin Fisher, was given the 2013 Service and Leadership Award from Equality Florida in recognition of having donated “nearly $120,000 in the last few years” in support of their causes. Although Corbin Fisher relocated to Las Vegas three years ago, Mr. Gibson continues to support the organization. “It is a great honor to be recognized by Equality Florida,” he said. “It was not only the very important work they do, but the personal sacrifices many of the EQFL family have made in their fight for our basic rights that motivated Corbin Fisher to contribute to their efforts in a meaningful way, even after our path took us out of state.” Side note: Some of the media coverage has focused on the fact that Corbin Fisher, among its offerings, also produces condomless porn.
