* Nominees for the 4th annual TLA Gay Awards have been announced. GPTimes has been nominated in the past for Most Prolific/Entertaining Twitterer, but not this year. C’est la vie. I’ll have more analysis later. The twelve Studio of the Year nominees are Alphamales, BelAmi, ChaosMen, Channel 1 Releasing, CockyBoys, Falcon Studios, Hot House Video, Men.com, NakedSword Originals, Next Door Studios, Raging Stallion Studios and TitanMen. * Dominic Ford‘s digital magazine ADULT is celebrating two milestones: its first anniversary, and 25,000 subscribers. “We started ADULT magazine because we saw a clear void in the market. While some mainstream gay publications have gone digital (and are fabulous), they are not hardcore,” said Mr. Ford. “As hardcore print magazines have slowly disappeared it was obvious to us that someone needed to step in and fill the void.” As Constant Readers will recall, I’ve penned several articles for the publication, and was profiled for its fifth issue. * Performer-director Steve Cruz has a brief, thoughtful blog post titled “I Met Joey Stefano” that recalls a moment of thoughtlessness, long before he entered the skin biz himself, when he met the late erotic icon. Like Colby Keller, Conner Habib and others, Mr. Cruz is reflecting on the recent deaths of Arpad Miklos, Erik Rhodes, Roman Ragazzi and director John Bruno. [Steve Cruz blog]

A rather interesting list with too many obvious omissions. And too many questionable inclusions. Strikes me as another self serving who cares non event to try to boost sales of overstock.
