Author, director, journalist and blogger JC Adams is the founder of 500 Turtles Productions. As a porn journalist, he has covered the gay adult entertainment industry since 1995 and has served as the editor of Unzipped Monthly (2000-2002), Inside Porn Magazine (2002-2004), XXX Showcase (2005 – 2008) and the Adam Gay Video Directory (2005 – 2008), the gay adult industry bible.

The creator and editor of GayPornTimes.com, JC Adams has worked as a reporter for adult business trade publications XBIZ and Adult Video News. His work has appeared in Gay Chicago, Genre, New York’s HX, Gay.com and many other print and online publications.

JC Adams has also worked for adult studios large and small as a publicist, production manager, producer and director. His first book, Gay Porn Heroes, was published by Berlin-based Bruno Gmunder in September, 2011.

He has been interviewed by The Advocate (May 2009, CLICK HERE); Cybersocket (April 2009, CLICK HERE); MOC Blog (February 2009, CLICK HERE, link NSFW); and Gay.com (July 2008) for his views on sexuality, the pornography industry and pop culture.

In January 1998 he began penning the weekly gossip and news column “The Adams Report by JC Adams,” which morphed into GayPornTimes.com in 2007. A collection of his columns is scheduled for publication in 2008 soon eventually.

Gay Porn Times has earned six consecutive Cybersocket Web Awards nominations as Best Porn Blog (2007-12) and was named Best Gay Porn Blog of the Year by the inaugural JRL Gay Film Awards in Sept. 2010.

GPTimes won Best Porn Blog honors from the Grabby Awards in May 2011 and was nominated again in 2012.

JC Adams has been a guest “sexpert” and porn-biz color commentator on “The Derek & Romaine Show” on Sirius XM OutQ satellite radio (channels 98 or 109) since 2003. He lives in Los Angeles.
