Zeb Atlas Wraps Raging Stallion Sexplay

Musclebod-entrepreneur Zeb Atlas has wrapped production on a pair of XXX-rated throwdowns for Raging Stallion Studios. His costars were Micah Brandt and Landon Conrad. What do you think of those choices? There was some concern about whether Mr. Atlas would pluck himself clean or leave his naturally furry chest untouched; I’m pleased to report that he achieved some middle ground. See the link below for my recent post about lunch at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills with Mr. Atlas and his longtime manager, David Forest of The Premiere Artists, who also has a full plate these days. “I’m assisting nightclub owners, circuit party promoters and gay pride committees with their live appearance bookings,” he told me, “specifically focusing on DJs and male erotic stars. But I’ll go out and find anyone they want.” Mr. Forest is repping, for specific gigs, DJ Chi Chi LaRue and DJ Ed Baily, whose “Madonnarama” nightclub event has new life right now, post-Super Bowl. Mr. Forest is also booking meet-and-greets for Cody Cummings, Brent Everett, Adam Killian, the “Porn Star Next Door” tour featuring various hunks from Next Door Studios, and two of BelAmi‘s newly signed American studs, Mick Lovell and Brady Jensen. As for Mr. Atlas, the new Raging Stallion film was directed by Chris Ward. Samuel Colt Talks Moving to Greece, Porn-Biz Plans

Musclebod Samuel Colt saw my blog post earlier today (scroll down or click the link below) and chimed in with more specifics about why he and boyfriend Chris Porter are moving overseas. “We picked Greece initially because Chris is Greek but when we both visited there for the first time last summer we immediately fell in love. Athens is an amazing city; it’s so gritty and raw and vibrant,” he told me. “We both immediately knew we wanted to move.” As for the skin biz, Mr. Colt said they’ve decided to shift their erotic work to the back burner. “It has never been a career for us as we have both worked full-time in other jobs. Chris will remain exclusive with Randy Blue. I left Falcon/Raging Stallion not long after the merger, not satisfied with the direction the company was going,” he notes. “Since then, I’ve done a bit of work for COLT Studio and Cocksure Men. I’ll probably do some of the European studios like Men at Play and Stag Homme. And of course we will keep doing appearances, mostly in Europe but coming back to the U.S. at least three times a year.” He said they’ll be Stateside for International Mr. Leather weekend and the Grabby Awards in Chicago at the end of May, and again in September for the Folsom St. Fair. In the meantime, they’re developing a new travel-related business. I’ll have more details on that project in the weeks ahead.

Wolf Hudson to Cameo in ‘Men in Black’ Parody

Good ol’ Wolf Hudson is tickled pink lately because he’s been tapped–pun not intended–by director Brad Armstrong for a small role in MEN IN BLACK: A HARDCORE PARODY for hetero studio Wicked Pictures. “Armstrong’s big-budget satire is being crafted with the same attention to detail that made his homage to The Rocky Horror Picture Show an across-the-board hit,” XBIZ reports. As our Constant Readers may already know, Mr. Hudson is a Michael Jackson superfan and his cameo is similar to the one given to the late King of Pop for Men in Black 2. Production begins shortly. “I’ve been wanting to play MJ in a porno for a long time. Marc Dylan to Donate Performance Fee to Charity

Hunk-tastic Marc Dylan is certainly one of the “It”-studs of GayPornLand right now, following a rocky start to the biz last summer (see the links below). He’s already shot for most of the major companies; costars can’t get enough of him. This next bit of news should endear him only further to your heart: Mr. Dylan has agreed to film a hardcore scene for the recently relaunched Men.com if they will donate his fee to charity. I first caught wind of this news last night via the Twitter machine and asked him for a few more details. He told me via email that the idea first came about in December when an email arrived from his sister about their yearly donation to Toys for Tots. “It’s something that we both feel is very important and donate to each year,” he told me. “I had such a busy month I forgot all about it. So I told her to send in a check for me and I would [repay] her when I came home for Christmas.” Mr. Dylan still felt guilty, so he Tweeted his availability to shoot for any company if they would donate his usual fee to Toys for Tots. Beefcake for Lunch: Zeb Atlas

Over the weekend, I had the chance to chew the fat with musclebod-entrepreneur Zeb Atlas. Our lunch was arranged by talent manager David Forest of The Premiere Artists at the Polo Lounge inside the Beverly Hills Hotel, no less. Mr. Atlas is obviously quite a sight onscreen, but he’s one of those guys who is somehow handsomer in person. The Polo Lounge is very Hollywood, of course, and a few heads swiveled in his direction when he strolled by. Did they recognize him or were they reacting to his good looks? We chatted a bit about his cameo in the second-season finale of Gigolos on Showtime (see the link below). That episode garnered high ratings and producers told Mr. Atlas they’re exploring the idea of a male gigolo who services other men if they are renewed for a third season. Producers also definitely noticed the social-network buzz generated by Mr. Atlas’ appearance. In the meantime, he will be heading to San Francisco next week to film a couple of scenes for Raging Stallion Studios‘ next A-ticket sexpic. More details about that project down the line. And like Brent Everett, who tirelessly works a similar career track, Mr. Atlas is filming original content for his own website and touring around the country on dance/meet-and-greet gigs. Bravo Confirms Eklund in ‘Million Dollar’ Reality Series

Press Release Roundup: The Bravo cable network today announced a Wednesday, March 7 premiere date for its real-estate reality series Million Dollar Listing New York, and that Fredrik Eklund will be one of three featured cast members. Mr. Eklund is known to fans of all-male adult as Tag Eriksson, of course. The press release notes his spectacularly successful track record–Mr. Eklund is “constantly rated as downtown’s ‘Top Luxury Broker’ and was nominated as ‘Rookie of the Year’ by the Real Estate Board of New York. He set record sales in 28 buildings in Manhattan last year and is often spotted showing apartments to top name celebrities”–but doesn’t mention his many other accomplishments, including an acclaimed blue-movie stint. Eh, why would they mention the porn past? It was part of his glowing New York Times profile about 14 months ago (see the link below) and clearly hasn’t hurt him one whit. Music Video Clip Featuring Miklos Rejected by YouTube

Last week I posted about a lovely music video clip from Perfume Genius, a/k/a Mike Hadreas, that features musclebear Arpad Miklos (see the link below). Now comes word that a brief teaser for the video, meant to run as an advertisement before other videos, has been rejected by YouTube. Who knew soft-focus same-sex snuggling could be so dangerously provocative? Matador Records, the label for Perfume Genius, is puzzled that they weren’t given an opportunity to re-edit the clip. CLICK HERE to watch it. “The song’s about how if someone knew you, they would go away,” Mr. Hadreas has explained. He chose Miklos as a costar specifically “to battle preconceptions and show that even a hulking porn star can have feelings, too.” CLICK HERE for the actual video. It’s getting a lot of hype, thanks in large part to the gay-media-porn blogosphere coverage of Miklos’ participation; my original post last Friday remarked that the clip had racked up some 37,000 views. It’s up over 119,000 today.

Johnny Castle Wins AVN Awards Hardware

As you know, Mr. Castle was Men magazine’s Man of the Year in 2008, one of the industry’s top honors back when such a thing as periodicals existed. Chris Crocker Porn Debut Put on Ice

Internet and viral video sensation Chris Crocker is in Park City, Utah this week at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival to promote Me @ the Zoo, the feature documentary chronicling his young life and tumultuous rise to fame (or perhaps infamy). HBO Documentary Films just picked it up for distribution, reports IndieWire. Mr. Crocker gave an interview to Queerty and reveals that his trumpeted porn debut is probably not going to happen. “I don’t know what’s going on with that right now, to be honest,” he says. “My main focus right now is this documentary.” He posted several explicit photos to his Tumblr blog, which is apparently as far as the handsome pupcake wants to go right now, and was among the 54 nominees for Best Porn Star at the Cybersocket Web Awards earlier this month. Chi Chi LaRue is Robotic in ‘Star Wars’ Parody

The utter mania for erotic spoofs over in hetero porn continues unabated. There appears to be virtually nothing, no TV show or film, that can escape the XXX-parody treatment. Among the latest is a riff on Star Wars from director Axel Braun and his Axel Braun Productions with Vivid Entertainment. As you can see from this screencap, directrix Chi Chi LaRue appears in a brilliant bit of stunt casting. (Another fantastic casting was Jeremy Bilding, as Ryan Driller, in last year’s Superman: The Movie erotic parody. See the links below.) “Do people jerk off to these porn parodies,” asks The Sword, “or do they watch them for the laughs? Assuming they are even funny?” I always wonder why these guys blow their budgets on costumes, sets and makeup, and yet skimp on quality sound recording. That’s been a longtime pet peeve. Former skin stud and renaissance man Tag Eriksson, now known by his given name of Fredrik Eklund, remains one of the site’s top search terms. The reality series Million Dollar Listing New York has long been rumored to feature the handsome hunk; we’ll know shortly as the Bravo cable network recently announced the show will debut in March. See the links below for background. As Eriksson, Mr. Eklund filmed only a handful of blue movies in 2003 and ’04 for Jet Set Men, most of which have been repacked into numerous compilations. Award-winner THE HOLE, an erotic riff on the horror film The Ring, was his big star-making role, and one of the best all-male sexpics of the decade. It was also one of writer/director Wash West‘s final forays in the genre before he jumped to the indie-film circuit.

In Print: EW.com Covers Brent Corrigan’s ‘Werebear’

In Print: EW.com, the website for Entertainment Weekly, has a longish article that went up this week about the various obstacles, from funding to production to marketing, that loom for horror anthology films. One such example is Chillerama, whose segment “I Was a Teenage Werebear” toplines Sean Paul Lockhart, better known, natch, to our Constant Readers as Brent Corrigan. The author or web designer chose a photo of Mr. Lockhart in his creature makeup to illustrate the article. He isn’t mentioned by name, but you don’t get any more solidly mainstream than Entertainment Weekly. So kudos for continuing to break new ground for blue-movie actors. In Print: Performer-mogul Michael Lucas is the cover story for this month’s issue of LGBT mag The Fight. He talks about his upbringing in Russia and adult-biz career as well as his staunch pro-Israel advocacy and a willingness to publicly voice unpopular opinions. For example, his disdain for GLAAD‘s effectiveness as a watchdog organization: “Positive representations of gays in the media is good and all, but do we really need a national organization that does little else but host a painfully boring awards show, and fire off a few angry press releases?” he says. “They’ll pretty much give an award to any celebrity who agrees to show at their event and walk the red carpet. Arpad Miklos, Perfume Genius Peek Under ‘Hood’

This past week, if you pay attention to the gay-media blogosphere, you’ve no doubt seen the many, many posts that have taken note of the manly presence of hairy musclebod Arpad Miklos in the new music video for Perfume Genius (a/k/a Mike Hadreas). It’s curious to note which stories involving one of our boys takes root and which simply disappears down the memory hole. (Not so many years ago, erotica stars were shot on sight if they ventured beyond the confines of GayPornLand.) This one is all over the place, on all the big gay blogs like JoeMyGod and Towleroad and HuffPo Gay Voices and Out.com and many others. The video “Hood” is from the forthcoming album Put Your Back N 2 It on Matador Records.
